What does fake scalp wig mean

they just sewed half the front of a wig cap underneath then?

that’s extra lace,no need wig cap or having to sew one in yourself.

this is perfect for people who don’t want to do all of the extra steps of the bald cap method.

I don’t recommend plucking for fake scalp.

Because when you try to pluck it more to mimic your hairline,

the “scalp”starts to show and it doesn’t look good without adding makeup.

pros

the grids on the lace were large and fake looking,this doesn’t matter in the area where the fake scalp is.
If you are allergic to hair dye, to got to be glued, hair spray etc.
If you haven’t perfected the plucking and melting technique of lace wig.
the fake scalp would be easier, less risky and less time consuming.

cons

the line of demarcation where the fake scalp starts looks less natural than doing a bald cap.
the quality of the lace is lower for the fake scalp.
If fake scalp is darker or lighter,it harder to blend.

I actually think it’s no harm done with getting the fake scalp

because you can easily cut it off with one snip of your scissors if you don’t like it

and there isn’t usually an up charge for the fake scalp.

In my opinion the fake scalp wigs will always look less natural than the bald cap(HD lace wigs).

if you like doing the bald cap method cause it’s more customizable to make it fit you,

you can melt your wig cap more into your forehead so you see no line at all.

the HD lace looks more natural but the fake scalp saves time so they’re both a plus.

What I’m wondering is can u c the grids on the fake scalp wig?

If the choice is between fake scalp and silk top I’d go with silk top.

I will say silk tops are the only fool proof method for not showing grids but it’s so much more expensive.

and you couldn’t pluck it due to the silk base being there.
